IMPORTANT PATIENT INFORMATION

** Disruption to normal service between 25th APRIL - 1st MAY **

This is an important notice to all patients at the Cheriton Bishop & Teign Valley practice. 

We are in the process of moving over to a new computer clinical system that we use for all your medical records and prescriptions.

This is so we can improve our services and bring our systems completely up to date.

We are preparing for this to ensure a smooth transition and minimise any disruption. 

As we swap between systems, we have a gap of 2 weeks (April 20th – 30th) when no new data can be added. We will need to reduce non-essential activity during this time, and we ask for your support and to bear with us during this time.

How will it affect you?

1 – Repeat prescriptions.  – We plan to issue double the amount of your prescriptions to ensure you have supplies over this period

2 – Routine appointments, annual reviews and bloods will be deferred over this period until the new system is live. 

3 - The practice of course will be open and will deal with any urgent problems that arise.

4 – Online services for ordering repeat medication, accessing test results and health records, booking GP or Nurse appointments will cease during this period 

We are confident that the new system will help us improve the care we can deliver going forward.
