Exciting news! You may have noticed that Dispensary at Cheriton Bishop is starting to look a bit bare, this is because our long awaited works start on Monday 3rd August. The team will be decamping to another area of the Surgery on Friday 31st July, we therefore ask that patients kindly plan to avoid collecting their medication on that day.

Upcoming Dispensary Improvements

Important Information About Upcoming Dispensary Improvements

We are pleased to inform patients that the next phase of improvement works at the practice will begin at the start of August.

This project will involve the reconfiguration of our Dispensary to create additional working space for staff, helping to improve efficiency, increase prescription throughput, and provide a safer working environment for our dispensing team. These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible service to our patients.

During the building works, dispensary facilities will be significantly limited. To help minimise disruption and reduce pressure on the service while the work is taking place, patients who normally receive repeat medication through the Dispensary will be issued with up to three months’ medication during July, where clinically appropriate.

We would ask you to:

• Order your repeat medication in good time during July.
• Check your medication supply when collected.
• Contact the practice promptly if you have any questions regarding your prescription.

We appreciate that the building works may cause some temporary inconvenience, but these improvements will help us provide a more efficient and sustainable dispensary service for the future.

We thank all our patients for their understanding, patience, and support while these important improvements are carried out. We would also like to thank the members of the Cheriton Bishop Village Hall Committee for their support during this time.

Patient Information:
Don't forget that you can book your appointment with a GP, Nurse or for a blood test using the NHS App.

You can also book using the Book an Appointment button on the website if you are signed up to the NHS App.

Our Enhanced Access also means that you can book to see a GP on a Tuesday from 6.30pm until 8pm - to book use the NHS App or ring Reception.

Following feedback from our recent Patient Group Survey, we understand that some patients are still unsure about the different ways to book an appointment. We want to make this process as simple and accessible as possible.
There are several ways you can book an appointment, and full details are provided in the picture below. Please take a moment to read through it so you can find an option that works best for you.
Important reminder:
Our text triage service closes at 11:30am each day.
If you submit a text triage form after 12:30pm, your request will not be reviewed until the following working day.
